I've never actually seen a ghost, but have been told a few stories by my mom and grandmother.
This first story is from when I was a young kid....
I was a baby, and was at home with my mom and she was feeding me. This wasn't long after my grandfather had passed away, a few months maybe. Anyway, my mom was feeding me, when she heard a noise. That noise was the sound of a picture falling from the wall down to the floor. However, the picture frame that contained the picture was one of those frames that has those "teeth" on the back of it to hang it on the wall. So, the only way it could have come off of the wall is if someone had lifted it up off the nail in the wall holding it up. My mom and grandmother believe that it was my grandfather letting us know that he was there with us.
This second story was the one my grandmother told me. This happened before I was born....
My grandmother was at home, only her and the family dog were home. She was in the kitchen washing dishes when her and the dog heard a noise from upstairs. My grandmother thought maybe it was my grandfather coming home from work, and paid it no mind. However, the dog was curious about what the noise was, and ran over to the stairs to see. My grandmother came out of the kitchen to see the dog at the bottom of the stairs, looking up and down, as if she was watching someone walking up and down the stairs, but noone was there. This happened twice that day.
These aren't personal stories, but stories that came from family.
